I am printing from the iSeries (AS/400) through a printer device. When the printer runs out of paper it sometimes results in a problem.
Answer:
As described in the InterForm400 manual it is adviceable to specify PRTERRMSG(*INFO) on the printer device. This will make the writer on the iSeries do an automatic recover from the 'Out of paper' message and continue to print when paper has been added in the printer drawer.
